• Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, documents and implements software code for a website or component of a website
  • Builds new web pages and page templates into content management systems
  • Develops custom web applications and components, integrating with backend databases
  • Enhances existing web pages, page templates and custom components
  • Fixes software defects with existing web pages, page templates and custom components

• Researches, tests and integrates third party products per client requirements

• Works collaboratively with internal team members and with the client

• Communicates effectively with clients, co-workers and partners in both written and verbal form 

• Takes technical direction and/or supervision from Senior Consultants

Qualifications

To be qualified, a candidate must possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)

• Experience with web technologies: HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, XSLT
  

• A track record of outstanding results in academic or professional environment

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Motivation to learn, ability to learn quickly, versatility

• Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic

• Honesty, integrity and professionalism

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Interest in a career in consulting; learning the business side of technology and working directly with clients

• Passion for technology

• Experience in the Microsoft Office application suite

The following qualifications are optional:

• Experience with .NET programming language

• Experience building websites with third-party Content Management Systems such as Cascade Server, RedDot or SiteCore

About our Higher Education practice area
Our web solutions help colleges and universities to reach their constituencies which include: prospective students, applicants, admitted students, current students, alumni, faculty and donors.  mStoner brings marketing, writing and creative design expertise to our partnership and we provide technical expertise.
We typically build public facing websites, intranets and portals.  Often, a third party Content Management System (CMS) is integrated into the site, configured and customized to meet our client’s needs.  We are CMS agnostic and allow our clients to select the system that works best for them.  Cascade Server, RedDot and SiteCore are the CMS we most frequently implement.

We also integrate other third party tools such as calendar systems and social networking solutions.  Where appropriate, we will build and integrate custom applications into client websites.
