Michael has been involved in interactive media for more than a decade. Most recently, he was assistant vice president for academic and research IT support at Saint Louis University. Prior to that position, he was director of academic IT and director of Web development.

He has both industry and academic experience in photography, video, film, and digital interactive media. Michael earned the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Media Arts from the University of Kansas.  In addition to teaching college courses, he has conducted seminars and workshops on the Internet and Web development for professionals in several different industries.

In his spare time, Michael is an avid photographer and boater. His photographs have been shown in a number of exhibitions around the U.S. Last summer, he and his son participated in Sea Base, a Boy Scout high adventure trek, aboard a sail boat in the Bahamas.
